    Super Healthy Granola

I decided to stop buying shop bought granola after I realised how damn easy it is to make at home. By making your granola at home you save money, and you fill your body with delicious healthy goodness, cutting out all those added sugars in shop bought stuff. This granola literally takes 10 minutes to make, it’s super easy and will last for ages! All you need to make it is: – 2 1/2 cups of rolled oats  – 1 cup of nuts (I use almonds)  – 1/2 cup of seeds (I use mixed sunflower seeds)  – 1 cup of dried fruit (I use raisins) – 3 tbs of agave…

    Helping someone with depression

As a sufferer of depression for quite a few years now, I feel as though i’ve collected some pretty good advice and experience during my time here on earth. I have suffered with someone, I have suffered alone and I have hidden my suffering. Depression is horrible thing for someone to experience, it destroys not only you, but those around you, those who care and who see you in such pain. After a pretty rough evening, I’ve decided to share with you a few ways you can help a loved one, a friend, a family member etc, if they need you. 1) Acknowledge that something is wrong, look out for…

    Thrifty Thursday

I took a trip to Bath with my lovely boyfriend on the weekend as we both had the day off, Bath has always been one of my favourite places to visit and as we live so close to it now, I make a point of visiting as often as I can. We grabbed coffee at a cute little place opposite the train station to start our day, following that we went for a stroll around the shops, took advantage of the Urban Outfitters sale and ended up at Las Iguanas for lunch. I had a delicious vegan chilli, it was a bit on the spicy side but washed down with…

    Cruelty Free Makeup Routine

So a few months ago I made the decision to start buying cruelty free makeup, I just don’t see the point in using makeup tested on animals when there is plenty of makeup out there that is animal friendly and just as good. I still have quite a bit of makeup left over that is non-cf because I don’t see the point in throwing it away, I don’t like the thought of that animals pain being for nothing because I’ve just thrown away the product so I’m currently using up and replacing my products. I have however, replaced enough of my makeup that I can very nearly do a full…

    Homeware wishlist!

    * So this year I move into a new house with my boyfriend, it’ll be our first house that we don’t share with other people so I can go all out with the decor! (very excited). The house will no doubt be bare when we move in but I really enjoy creating a space of my own and seeing everything come together so this shan’t be a problem! I have complied a few things to show you the style I want to achieve with my new house and where you can find them, some more expensive than others but all mostly affordable, as I myself don’t have a lot of…

Favourite Skincare Products / Skin Routine.

Botanics Micellar Water  After making the decision to change all my products to cruelty free, I needed to find an alternative for my Garnier micellar water and I came across the Botanics range in Boots, which happens to be cruelty free! Great news guys, it does exactly the same thing for half the price and no animals had to be harmed in the making of the product, i’ll usually start the day by cleansing my face with the micellar water before applying my makeup. The Body Shop Beautifying Oil (The Body Shop themselves don’t test on animals but they are now owned by L’Oreal, I did not know this at…

    Hello 2016 – My goals

    * 2016 is upon us! I’ve decided to share with you 3 of my goals for this year, some small, some big, but all achievable. I probably made similar goals this year but I never achieved them so here’s to second chances! Firstly I want to look after myself better, this means eating a well balanced diet and doing 1 form of exercise every day (anything from a long walk or a few squats to a full workout). I’ve really let the stress of university get to me this year and I can see my waistline growing as we speak, I know I have the ability to get fit so…

    My 2015

So this blogging thing went well.. Regardless of that, I have been doing what I was supposed to be doing (my dissertation) but I’ve been taking a well earned break to reflect on my year, what I remember of it anyway.  This year has given me my highest ever university mark, work experience on two major films, eye contact with Emma Watson, a new job and a beautiful pair of shoes. I have had many wonderful parties and said goodbye to some of the best people I’ve ever known.  In the cold month of February I filmed a music video a lovely talented young lad for university, it contained some…

    Hello Christmas

So I guess you could say Christmas has arrived? As I sit and enjoy a caramel latte and a sandwich outside pret I reflect on the year. It’s been okay I suppose, unfortunately I’ve been working throughout most of it so I haven’t really had a chance to enjoy 2015 to its full potential.  The high points of this year? Finally creating a piece of work at university that I am completely happy with and getting my highest ever mark, a pay rise at work,  and let’s see, turning 20? No.  Low points? Not having a summer, being poor no matter how much I work and well, becoming an official…

    Welcome

So welcome to my blog! First let me tell you a little about myself, my name is Lizz, I’m 20 years old and in my final year of university studying Film Production. My passions lay with music, film and animals, as you’ll see through the posts on this blog. I have quite a varied taste in music, if I can dance to it or mosh to it then I’ll probably enjoy it. My favourite films include Donnie Darko, Jurassic Park (all of them), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Submarine, Indiana Jones (excluding crystal skull because what was that), Beetlejuice and The Boat that Rocked. I enjoy tattoos and hair…
